Tour Highlights :
Santubong Wildlife Cruise, Irrawaddy Dolphins, Proboscis Monkeys, Fire-Flies, Crocodiles,
Anah Rais (Bidayu) Longhouse, Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Orang Utan
Day 1 : Kuching / Santubong Wildlife Cruise
Depart by scheduled flight for Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak. Meet upon arrival and
transfer to your choice of hotels. Late this afternoon, embark on an exciting Santubong
Wildlife Cruise which takes you around the rivers of the Santubong Peninsular, offering you
the chance of seeing some of Sarawak's fascinating wildlife. The cruise criss-crosses the
mouth of the Santubong River where the rare Irrawaddy dolphins are ofter seen swimming
and diving in the estuary. Your boat then cruises along the mangrove river banks in search of
the big nose Proboscis monkeys, often seen in the treetops at the water edge settling down
for the night. As dusk arrives, we watch the fire-flies moving amongst the branches of the
mangroves and we might see crocodiles which can be easily spotted by their brightly eyes
when shone upon by powerful torchlights. (Note : Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed,
however our local tour operator do enjoy a high success rate and the tour do not operate
during rainy weather). Remark : For late arrival, Santubong Wildlife Cruise will be conducted
on the 3rd day of the tour.
Day 2 : Anah Rais (Bidayu) Longhouse / Semenggoh Wildlife rehabitation Centre (B/L)
After breakfast, take a scenic drive passing through lush green countryside dotted with padi
fields, pepper gardens, rubber plantations and flanked by jungle-clad mountains before
arriving at the longhouse. Then drive to
Semonggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, which provides a rare opportunity to be close
encounter with the semi-wild orang utan, who have been rescued from captivity and trained
to survive in the surrounding forest reserve. The rehabilitated animals roam freely in the
rainforest and often return to the centre at feeding times.
Day 3 : Kuching (B)
Free day for you to explore the main streets of Kuching City, where you can view historical
buildings built during the White Rajah era or visit the world famous Sarawak Museum (all
within walking distance from your city hotel).
Note : For those staying in the Damai Puri & Spa the Sarawak Cultural Village is just withing
walking distance from the resort.
Day 4 : Kuching / Departure (B)
Bid farewell to Sarawak as you will be transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.
